Why is the Science Fiction genre so essential for the growth of atheism and agnosticism?   What is the psychology of the atheist and how is he encouraged by the escape from God provided in Sci Fi?  Carl Sagan, Isaac Asimov, Robert Heinlein, Arthur Clarke, Gene Roddenberry, H.G. Wells, L. Ron Hubbard, et al were the atheists, agnostics, and scientologists who developed the science fiction genre.  They were the promulgators of the new religion called "scientism."  We discuss these powerful ideas that have captured the imagination of modern man.  Then, we ask the question - Should Christians be reading this stuff?  How long does one sit in the seat of the scoffer, to be really sitting in his lap, for example?
