Professing Christians will develop a sentimental attachment for popular music and movies that contain similarly grotesque elements. And, Lyndon B. Johnson produces a Great Society that further destroys the poor. The tender mercies of the wicked are cruel. Sentimental music, sentimental thinking, sentimental preaching, and a sentimental view of children not measured by the standards of God’s law will lead astray. Beware of grotesque sentimentality!
