The Chinese Communists are working to eradicate Sunday Schools and Christian Summer camps. Why do communists hate Sunday School so much? And, why do socialists hate family discipleship? The Communist Manifesto called for “replacing home education with social.” The state owns the children, and cannot tolerate a single hour of children discipled by their parents or by a discipler in the church. But are Sunday Schools really effective, or do we seek out more of a Deuteronomy 6:7-9 construct?
