We go back to Phyllis Schlaffly’s last words on Trump - “He’s the last best hope for the country.” However, it’s still hard to believe that Trump will be the Savior of the nation, even if Dr. James Dobson says that Trump has invited Jesus (or Paula White) into his heart. Are we focused on the right things? Are we listening to rhetoric, or are we concerned with the character of the man? Do we vote for principle, platform, or the person (and his character as demonstrated by his life)? We revisit the role of politics, the critical need for rank-and-file revival, and the untrustworthiness of the most ardent of conservative voices who don’t demonstrate their commitment to God’s law in their own lives.
